We are going down for breakfast in a few minutes, then we take off for a day in Olympia and Seattle.
We started out by driving into Olympia to the state capitol. The domed building is very impressive. We did not take the time to visit the inside of the building.
After spending a few minutes driving about the capitol, we set off for Seattle. When we got there, we parked in an over-priced parking lot and headed toward the Seattle Art Museum to see the impressionist exhibit. We spent almost two hour in the museum, then we headed down to the Pike Street Market.
In the market, we had a fabulous lunch at a French restaurant. Lynda had a tarte paysanne while Carolyn, Ray, and I had salad with grilled salmon. I didn't photograph the food.
After eating we spent several minutes looking around the market. Lynda and I made a few purchases.
Before leaving Seattle we drove a short distance to see the Space Needle that was a feature of the 1962 Seattle World Fair.
On the way back to the motel we did some shopping for picnic supplies.
We ended our day with a visit to B.G. and Ann, then we headed back to the motel for our in-the-room picnic.
