Nice Winter Weather

We did not get any of the frozen stuff that the northwestern part of the state got. I was glad since I had to go back to Memphis on Tuesday to pick up the Jetta. I took it over on Monday and it was going to take the biggest part of the day to get everything done, so I used a "loaner" to come home. Last night when the weathermen were talking about the possibility of mixed sleet and freezing rain I was thinking the Jetta may get to stay an extra day in Memphis.

The temperature did not get below freezing so the drive to Memphis this morning was not bad at all. I got the Jetta and was back home before noon.

Tonight is supposed to be colder, but the rain has moved on, so things should still be nice. The forecast calls for warmer weather by the weekend.

We are planning a short trip to Paris, TX to see the play that Ray is directing.

Cooler Weather Coming?

We had some stormy weather earlier in the week, but it has been fairly warm for this time of year. We made it to Memphis on Friday and after doing some shopping had a visit with Lauri. As we went up to her door we could hear the piano. We stood outside and listened to her playing for a few minutes before knocking on the door. As usual Cutter was also glad to see us.

A New Year

We spent the New Year's holiday with friends at Canyon Lake in Texas. Robert and Olivia have a place on the lake and we and Ray and Carolyn joined them there for the holidays. Lynda and I have been with Ray and Carolyn on New Year's day for the past 45 or so years. And we kept up that tradition this year.

On Friday we drove up to Arlington, TX to visit with Neal and Carolyn before we head back home on Monday. We enjoyed an almost spring like day today. The temperature didn't set a new recond, but at 78 degrees it came pretty close.
