Good Ole Summertime

Thank goodness for air conditioning!
And thank goodness for the flowers of summer.

I took a few photos this morning in the garden. Here some of my favorite blossom for late June.

Summer Fruit

The only fruit tree that I have in my yard is my fig bush. I do have one blackberry vine that produced about a cupful of berries this year, but the fig bush is a great thing to have at this time of year.
Lynda and I both love figs and the fig bush keeps us supplied for several weeks during the summer. And, we have figs to share with friends. Of course the mockingbirds and blue jays get their pick of the crop.

A Special Day

Today is our 49th wedding anniversary. We plan to celebrate by going out for dinner this evening with Mike and Betty.


We were married in the Methodist Church at Water Valley, TX. The Reverend Green, a Baptist minster, officiated.

A Nice Saturday

I just watched the Belmont Stakes. Will try to write more later.
