Another Trip

Lynda and I have just returned from a trip to Texas. We attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Mary Sue and Fletcher Fields in Brady on August 15th. Mary Sue and Lynda were roommates at San Angelo College and Mary Sue played the organ at our wedding. After the Brady event, we went out to Christoval the next day to spend a few days with Lynda's aunt Frances. We went in to San Angelo one evening to have supper with Bill and Pinky Humble at one of our favorite Mexican Food places.

The next day we visited with Sue Mims, another Water Valley-days friend, over coffee at the Baker Street Coffee House. We did a little shopping at H.E.B. and also took some photos of the blossoms in the international water lilies park.

As we left the area, we had planned to get some sausages at the place where we have bought the best German style sausages, but they are closed on Wednesday.

We were in Arlington to attend the wedding of Cody and Veronica, the son of Lynda's cousin and his bride. The afternoon wedding was a lovely event and we had a break in the weather--it was only in the 90s and not 100+.

We continued down to Palestine to visit with my east Texas family members and to attend a reunion of the 1952 through 1957 classes from Elkhart High School.
