Christmas 2006

This has been a good Christmas season for us. The advent events at church were very nice. The music has been especially special this season. We have been able to attend all starting with the children's choir program. The hand bell choir were located at the back of the church when they did their Christmas program. It was very good. The chancel choir performed their cantata the Sunday the week before Christmas. On Christmas Eve we had a "song fest" during the regular worship time, then had an evening service with communion. The music included my two favorites" "O Holy Night" and "The Holy City". Carla did a wonderful performance of the former, and Hanna and Steve did an outstanding rendention of "The Holy City".

We celebrated Christmas Day by going to Jeff and Lauri's home in Memphis. She prepared the dinner (and it was excellent), and we exchanged gifts.

Time for Decorations

It has been a fairly busy time around here. Lynda, along with some help from friends, has got the place pretty well decorated both inside and out.

While they were decorating, I was in the kitchen preparing for our holiday open house. I fixed the usual tidbits for refreshments.
